Train for Godliness

“Young brother, take a friend’s advice and care no longer for man’s praise, for it is mere wind”  Spurgeon

What is your ambition?

Training: to develop or form the habits, thoughts, or behavior of (a child or other person) by discipline and instruction

Training is something we all learn from the start of our lives right through. My father in law now in his 80’s always said there is no retirement age in the Kingdom of God! He is always ready to serve and live out his life fully to God and others. We are all called to train ourselves in  Godliness, it takes effort but the rewards are worth it and will last forever.

A Good Servant of Christ Jesus

If you put these things before the brothers,[a] you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed.Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
