Not good enough?

Today is the day 2 years ago that my mum left her sick body and went to be with the Lord. My mum had dedicated her life to her husband and family, she was always there for us. The photo was taken when she was having treatment for the cancer, she was doing so well in fact we celebrated with a bbq after she was examined and told that all looked well.  It was short-lived, within a week her health took a u turn and she was admitted to hospital, the cancer had spread. That was a shock!

What can happen in a day, an hour, a minute…. we take our lives for granted each day. As the family had to come to terms with the sad news there was one pressing thing to do; the prayer of salvation. Thanks to my wonderful in-laws and Gods grace they were able to pray with my mum by her bedside as she accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal Saviour. I knew my mum believed in God but I think she felt because she didn’t go to church  she wasn’t good enough!

As I think of her today and miss her I know she is in the most beautiful place being taken care of and one day I will see her once again.

Job 33:26, 30

When he prays to God, he will be accepted and God will receive him with joy and restore him to good standing….

He rescues them from the grave so they may enjoy the light of life.

How wonderful is that, when we pray He listens ..He turns no man away who turns to Him. He has rescued my mum from the grave and restored her to a better life with Him.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Rom10:9

For if by the one man’s offense judgement came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. Rom 5:17

Prayer of Salvation

Thanks Charles, it is encouraging and comforting to know that through Christ we can all enter in. No if’s or but’s He made the way. Thanks to a wonderful compassionate Saviour and friend.
