A good start to the day

A good start to the day is knowing this; that Jesus is in control, He reigns Today! as John Piper writes in his blog:

“The Lord Jesus He reigns today. He sits in the control room of the Universe”  

There seems no better way to start a day than knowing this! The world may seem in chaos with wars, earthquakes, floods, and the economy..etc but He is in control of the Universe and the best is yet to come!

It seems so easy to get sucked down into the affairs of the world and be discouraged by what we see and hear. But God sees the world in a very different light. His ways are higher than ours. Isaiah 55:8-9

This week I read about the results from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) which exposed great errors of other statistics given by Stonewall and Whitehall. It showed that Christianity is not in decline here in the UK as we are often led to believe, but that 69% of this nation considers themselves to be Christian.

“The ONS survey that gave rather more convincing figures on the gay population also found that 69 per cent of people are Christian, and that the ratio of Christians to non-believers is three to one.

“Numbers of Christians under 25 are higher than among 30-somethings”, the ONS found.

The world may spin its lies to deceive people, but the Lords will, prevails!

China is experiencing huge growth in Christianity also. So be encouraged today! The Lord is at work, He is busy about His father’s business and so must we.
