Nothing else matters

When dealing with difficult times, where there seems to be no hope its hard to trust. Remember Gods word. His word is full of His spirit. They breathe His life into us, into the darkest places. The places that don’t make sense to us. Remember God is still God, His ways are higher than our ways. What he chooses to do in our lives is for our good. We have to trust Him and not try and                                                                                                    understand it.                                                        He is there, He is close to the broken hearted, the weak, the hurt, the fearful, the lost.  When nothing makes sense to us…..He is there. He is still God. He made the heavens and the earth, creator of all things. He loves us more than anyone we know.

I have lost both my parents, very quickly within months of each other and still struggling with ill health after two years. The news of earthquakes and tsunamies and wars is bleak and difficult to watch. But through it all God hasn’t changed He still remains the same. That’s what’s important and nothing else matters.

So His message to me today was simply this, I am not to understand – I am to trust.

God is God. He never changes, He is the same yesterday today and forever. We live in an ever changing world but God remains the same. When you realise nothing else in this world matters but God, the burden is lifted off it is not for us to carry.  Let God be God and let us trust and obey.

Prov 3:5  Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.
