All you need is love

This week in the news another christian couple had been ruled against in the high court to foster. Their crime not agreeing to promote homosexuality to a young child.

The court ruled in favour of the rights of a homosexual person vs the right to hold on to a christian belief. Of course they have inadvertantly over ruled the child on having a loving secure environment to grow in. In this particular case it was an afro-carribean couple which are in demand for fostering.

What I find most troubling is the need for such a question in the first place, they are children! I have worked most of my adult life with young children up to age 11, not once has the subject of sexuality come up. So why would it become an issue when fostering children? The couple said they would not raise the issue and if the child asked they would refer the matter to the social services. So why is there such a problem. Why is there this need to promote homosexuality to the child in the first place!!!? Christianity is based on love, we are commanded to love our neighbour and even our enemies. We are commanded to follow the laws of the land. This couple had proved that by fostering in the past but now this new question on promoting homosexuality to the child, will stop and deter Christians who want to foster in the future.

The important thing a child needs is love and acceptance for them to thrive, and here lies the problem. Human rights laws and equality laws push for an unnecessary thing and doesnt see the bigger picture or the greater good!

People seem quick to condemn Christians because we believe in traditional family values. They appear to be the ones pointing the finger and being prejudice towards us and now excluding us from being part of a society. A society that needs love and family values more now than ever before. In my view the judges of the courts and Derby social services are guilty of putting political correctness above the needs of a vunerable child.

Luke 18:16 But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
