The sad and tragic news of Rick Warrens son who took his own life highlights the severity of depression. It has also been my experience unfortunately of how misunderstood and unwelcome this illness is within churches, in particular charismatic ones. That is not to dismiss that we are in a spiritual battle (Eph 6:12)where prayer and reading the bible is most important. It’s our life jacket! But it is also good to understand the physical side too which is why I found this blog very helpful to restore balance to this sensitive issue of christians and depression. Thank-you Adrian for this helpful blog.
